Last week Ulster County held their EMS Awards dinner. Paramedic Bill Spadafora was given the ALS Provider of the Year Award and EMT Joe Orr was given the BLS Provider of the Year Award.

Two Unit Citations were issued to Mobile Life for outstanding patient care. The first one was for Mobile Life’s involvement in the resuscitation of a four year old who was involved in a motor vehicle accident and went into traumatic cardiac arrest.

The second Unit Citation was awarded for Mobile Life’s participation in a prehospital resuscitation of a high school volleyball player who went into sudden cardiac arrest at a match in the Hamlet of Wallkill. With early CPR initiated by bystanders and quick transport the young girl survived.
