Mobile Life Support Services offers employment opportunities in a number of classifications identified below. While employment classifications that have current available openings are so identified, we would encourage anyone who would like to be considered for future employment in any of listed classifications, to complete and return an employment application for future consideration.
Emergency Medical Technician- (EMT-B)
The EMT level is the minimum required staffing level for all NYS Certified Ambulances. The EMT is trained in all basic life support (BLS) level skills, including Defibrillation and limited medication administration. The EMT follows the written NYS BLS Protocols.
Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic-(EMT-P)
This is the highest certified level of EMS provider in NYS. Certification at this level includes additional ALS assessment, skills, and knowledge base. The EMT-P follows the written ALS protocols of the HVREMSCO, and has a broad range of standing orders that may be implemented prior to establishing contact with a Medical Control Physician.
Communications Specialist
Communications Specialists are trained to assess system requirements and demand and to respond by dispatching and re-positioning the most appropriate resources required. They are cross-trained to provide Emergency Medical Dispatch EMD) pre-arrival instructions to any caller when necessary, and are well versed in understanding the additional comprehensive emergency services and resources available throughout our service area.
Medical Billing Staff
Our Medical Billing Staff are trained in areas such as: medical documentation, medical condition coding, electronic claims preparation and submission, HIPAA regulations, and overall customer service.
EMS Instructors
Mobile Life Support Services operate a full-service Training Division, responsible for both EMS professional education programming and training programs for the general public. Most of the Instructors are credentialed in various educational and instructional disciplines.
