This American Heart Association Instructor Class is a BLS Instructor Development Course, free for MLSS Employees, $125 for non-MLSS students

This class will be held on Wednesday, May 8th, 2019 from 0900-1700.

The AHA BLS Instructor Development Course serves as an entry point to becoming an AHA certified instructor on the BLS and lay-rescuer level.  If you are currently aligned with an AHA training center, or if you plan to align with a TC, the BLS IDC will prepare the new instructor to deliver the content and curriculum offered by the American Heart Association.  This one-day course will introduce the instructor to American Heart Association Training Center policies, as well as explore the tools available to the new instructor.  Mini lessons will be given by participants to serve as a baseline assessment for future development.  Successful completion of the BLS IDC will allow the instructor to continue to a supervised internship as the next step in instructorship.  The online BLS Instructor Essentials Course and a valid BLS Provider card are prerequisites for this course.

Tuition is free for MLSS employees, $125 for non-MLSS employees.  There is an additional $50 Instructor Manual and Workbook fee.
