Last night Orange Regional Medical Center presented two paramedics and two emergency medical technicians from Mobile Life Support Services, and two ORMC emergency room nurses with Life Saver Awards. This award was bestowed upon them due to the excellent care given to a patient who had gone into cardiac arrest. This patient has since made a full recovery.
Approximately three weeks ago a person was at the Horton Pavillion in Middletown, NY and went into sudden cardiac arrest. Mobile Life Support Paramedic Daniel Sylvester and Emergency Medical Technician Paul Anello responded and began to treat the patient. Due to the severity of the patients condition they called for a second ambulance to help assist. Mobile Life Support Paramedic John Hill and Emergency Medical Technician David Kurpick arrived shortly thereafter.
The patient was quickly transported to Orange Regional Medical Center where he received the upmost care from the entire Emergency Department.
Due to the excellent care the patient received from Mobile Life and the Emergency Department at Orange Regional the patient has made a full recovery and has since walked out of the hospital.

It was an honor to have staff from Mobile Life Support Services receive an award for a job very well done.
