National Accreditation

In 1996, we applied to the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS), for them to review our operations for possible national accreditation.

CAAS has established a national set of performance standards for the EMS and Ambulance industry, and is considered the “Gold” standard in the industry.  After an exhaustive process that included both a preliminary review of policy and procedures, and a multi-day on site visit by a review team, we were awarded their National Accreditation.

We have maintained that commitment throughout the years, and recently completed our third re-accreditation term and site audit.

The CAAS accreditation process is purely voluntary on the part of the EMS service, and adherence to their performance standards is not without a significant investment of time, resources, and financial outlay.  For us though, it is the natural evolution of our commitment to quality care and performance.
