Mobile Life Support Services, Inc. is a privately owned commercial Paramedic service founded by Rick and Gayle Metzger in 1981, dedicated to providing high quality patient care to the communities and facilities we serve. Although the company started with only a couple of used ambulances staffed by Rick, Gayle, and two additional staff, it continues to grow and now operates a fleet of over 32 paramedic ambulances and emergency response vehicles managed by a staff of over 260. It is licensed by New York State in the Hudson Valley counties of Orange, Rockland, Ulster and Dutchess. With a collective population of over 1,000,000 residents, our units handle approximately 50,000 calls per year.

Although Rick has since passed away, Gayle has continued the goals they established years before of providing quality care, delivered by a well trained and dedicated staff that share that same commitment. It was their desire to provide the staff the best training and equipment to provide that care, and in return they wanted to make sure each member of the MLSS 'family' earned a competitive wage and had a benefit package that would reward them for the job they perform. That tradition continues today.
